Copyright to all material published in the Journal of Multimedia Information System (JMIS) is owned by the Korea Multimedia Society, the publisher of the journal. On acceptance, the corresponding author must transfer copyright to the Korea Multimedia Society on behalf of all authors by completing the JMIS Copyright Transfer Agreement Form.
JMIS is an open access journal. Published articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/), which permits unrestricted non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
The transfer of copyright does not remove the authors' right to use their own work. Authors retain the right to reuse the Contribution for academic and research purposes, including course and lecture notes, and to deposit the preprint, the accepted manuscript, and the publisher's version/PDF in an institutional or subject repository or on a personal website, provided that the published version is properly cited.
By signing the agreement, the corresponding author warrants on behalf of all authors that the Contribution is original, that any excerpts from copyrighted works are included with the permission of the copyright holder and author thereof, that it contains no libelous statements, and that it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, statutory right, or proprietary right of others. The corresponding author further warrants that the Contribution is not under consideration for publication by any other journal or conference and was not submitted elsewhere while under consideration by JMIS.
If the Contribution includes figures, tables, or text excerpts from other copyrighted works, the authors must obtain written permission from the copyright owner and credit the source in the article.
The JMIS Copyright Transfer Agreement Form can be downloaded from this page. The corresponding author must complete and sign the form and submit it together with the camera-ready version of the accepted manuscript.
